About E. Madison Cawein

An artist from the age of two, Madison (a pen name) has spent her life exploring the rich world of imagination and applying it to the creation of original images, from illustration to fiber arts, beadwork and doll-making to 3D computer graphics and writing.

Described by parents, teachers, and employers alike as a hopeless daydreamer with her head in the clouds she has always felt most at home in the constantly shifting worlds of symbols, myths, dreams, and feelings.

An INFP (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perceptive) type on the Jungian Personality Type Index, Madison is a Type 4 Enneagram, and a questing Sagittarius with a fairytale Libra Moon.   She is the quintessential poetic artist with a  natural affinity for beauty, ever in pursuit of the romantic ideal.

The Flamebearer is her first novel.

The pen name E. MADISON CAWEIN is a derivation of the name Madison Julius Cawein, a Louisville, Kentucky poet (23 March 1865 – 8 December 1914), believed to be a distant relative.  I chose the pseudonym because of the gender-neutral first name and the distinctly Celtic-sounding surname, adding the initial “E.” to distinguish me from the original author.
